FIELD NOTES

Thank you for flying Chanel Airways..

Posted in Fashion, Fashion Week by Field Grey Ltd. on February 7, 2012

Lagerfeld renown for his exuberant productions gave us an “Air Chanel” for Spring Summer 2012.

A jumbo jet complete with illuminated seats and a transparent roof to reveal faux clouds, giving a feeling of a space ship.

The central aisle with a wider gangway than normally assigned to an aircraft was filled with beautiful sculptured dresses and jackets. Shades of blue dominated the collection as did dropped waists and simple shapes with stand away collars and angular cuffs, these were air stewardesses with Mohawk inspired hairstyles; Lagerfeld true to form giving the collection “attitude”

Vogue Editor Alexandra Shulman noted

“ Real Hostesses would have struggled to walk in those shoes”
